Who are Hometown House Buyers and what do they do?
At Hometown house buyers, we buy houses, we renovate them. we resell them and sometimes we hold them. We also help people who:
- Have no money to do repairs
- Have no time or willingness to do repairs
- Want to get out fast due to some kind of other external pressure
If you find yourself in any of these 3 categories, Hometown house buyers may be able to help you.
The process of selling your house during COVID
STEP 1: Initial questions:
Before COVID, selling your home was pretty straightforward because we could see your house in person.
We did this because we love that face-to-face element as this allows us to quickly determine if we can work together or not.
Although face to face cannot happen right now, we can still help you out.
When you first contact us by email, our contact form or phone, we will ask you the following questions:
- How many bedrooms?
- How many bathrooms?
- How old is the furnace?
- How old is the roof?
- How old are the windows?
- When was the last time the kitchen/bathroom was updated?
And so on.
This gives us an idea of what it’s going to take to bring your home from what it is right now to what it could be and also figure out if we could help you out.
Some of the questions we ask might initially make you feel uncomfortable, but they’re necessary for our decision making process.
STEP 2: Take pictures:
Before COVID, we would come in and take pictures of your home. But since that cannot happen, you have to take pictures for us.
We can email you our picture taking guide so it saves your time when taking pictures of your house with your phone. This gives us a better idea of what we’re walking into and helps us make a better assessment.
If you are not comfortable with using your phone to take pictures, you could ask your friends, family or someone close to you but please be mindful of the restrictions that are in place.
You can also give us a call to advise you on the next best step.
STEP 3: Home inspection:
If we think we can work with you, we will make you an offer and ask for a home inspection.
Though this may seem like more responsibility for you, we are doing this for your safety and my safety. This is the way it’s going to be until we can get the vaccine.
What is the best way to start?
Making this decision could be a time consuming process especially with COVID. We want to make sure that you get all the information you need to make the best decision for you.
The best way to start is by giving us a call on 289-203-7200.
Let us start the conversation and figure out if we can work with you. If not, we’ll point you in the right direction.
Let’s do this!
